Capital Project Description: Monocacy Elementary, originally constructed in 1989, has had no renovations or additions. The limited renovation will upgrade deficient systems throughout the entire building, make limited changes to the building layout, improving the main office and health suite and adding support spaces that are not currently available. Building and ADA code compliance is also a priority. Other changes will improve the building finishes, including repainting interior and exterior surfaces, replacement of ceiling tiles (including sprinkler heads), replacement of some flooring and repointing exterior bricks, where needed.
