Capital Project Description: The new Blue Heron Elementary School is located in the Hamptons West neighborhood of the Linganore PUD. The school is designed for students in grades Pre-K through 5 and will offer the Pyramid Program currently housed at Spring Ridge Elementary. Blue Heron Elementary School will have a state rated capacity of 705 students. It is the first school that will utilize the updated FCPS elementary prototype design. The new school is expected to open and occupied in August of 2021. *Current Budget reflects state funding source change only.
