Capital Project Description: The Board of Education approved the architect for a feasibility study of the Middletown Campus on March 9, 2022. The study will examine facility needs at the High School, Middle School, Elementary School and campus road access throughout the entire school campus, plus the phasing and the cost of meeting identified needs. The study will consider renovating the existing schools, renovating the existing schools with additions and replacement of one or more buildings. All three schools are on the high priority for modernization in the recently completed FCPS Facilities Assessment. The intent of this project is to fund the first phase of a multi-year plan to update the building systems and spaces to current education sufficiency standards for Middletown High, Middle and Elementary schools and the entire campus road access and configuration. The scope and timing of the various phases of the project will follow the preferred order of operations established by the Middletown Campus Feasibility Study, approved in March 2022.
