Strategic Goals

Continue to work in partnership with the County Executive, the County Council, the Planning Commission and other governmental and non-governmental agencies on the successful implementation of the Livable Frederick Master Plan via the adoption of area and functional plans. By the close of calendar year 2024, facilitate the adoption of the South Frederick Corridors Plan, the Water Resources Element, and the Triennial Update of the Water and Sewerage Plan

Evaluate land use regulations, including the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Regulations, Forest Resource Ordinance and Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance, to identify opportunities to: - Reduce the number of applications that require Board of Appeals approval - Incorporate new land uses and modern planning principles -Address affordable housing

- Facilitate multimodal transportation - Protect natural and cultural resources
