Capital Project Description: Limited Renovation projects enable FCPS provide a mid-life upgrade to school buildings. Under the state funding definition, at least five major building systems must be improved, and educational improvements may also be completed. Limited Renovation projects address schools that are at least 35 years old with high Facility Condition Index (FCI) scores. In addition, limited renovation projects seek to potentially right-size educational spaces, increase building utilization and gain efficiencies. Each year the BOE decides on which specific limited renovation project should be funded.
