Capital Project Description: This project will improve the roadway from Bartholows Road east to the Mount Airy town limits. The project includes construction of on-street bike lanes, geometric improvements, drainage improvements and other safety upgrades to meet current standards for a minor arterial roadway. This corridor serves as an alternate route when incidents occur on I-70 between Mount Airy and New Market. The 2021 ADT on Old National Pike was 8,115 vehicles per day.
