Capital Project Description: Ballenger Creek ES was constructed in 1991 and has been identified as a project qualifying for a limited renovation due to its age and facility condition index. Like other limited renovation projects, the Spring Ridge ES project, the Ballenger Creek limited renovation is expected to improve five or more building systems as well as the educational environment for students within the entire 64,187 sf building. The project will improve size and adjacencies of existing spaces, provide code compliance, focus on energy efficiency and reduce operating costs, and upgrade building systems to current FCPS standards. The project will be completed in two phases over the summers of 2024 and 2025 to minimize disruption.
