Capital Project Description: Spring Ridge ES was constructed in 1991 and has been identified as the next project qualifying for a limited renovation due to its age and facility condition index (FCI). The limited renovation will renovate or replace more than 5 building systems and improve building finishes for the entire 66,276 sq ft building including cooperative use space for 647 students. Selected educational program enhancements will also be included. Limited renovations enable FCPS to upgrade building systems, potentially right-size educational spaces to gain added capacity, and increase building utilization and efficiency. FCPS generally completes elementary level limited renovation projects over two summers to minimize disruption.
