Capital Project Description: Waverley Elementary School is severely overcrowded, with 17 portable classrooms and a state rated capacity (SRC) of 355. The Board of Education approved a replacement school with a SRC of 1019; it will be the largest elementary school. The replacement WAVES, housing grades pre-k through 5th grade, is being constructed on the existing property and the adjacent former Rock Creek School property. When completed, the new school will include space to provide additional student support services, such as reading and math intervention and English Language programs. Construction is on schedule and expected to be completed and open for students by August 2022.
