Liquor Board Mission Statement The Frederick County Liquor Board pledges to provide constituents, businesses, customers and stakeholders with services in a friendly and courteous manner. The Board of License Commissioners regulates and controls the sales of alcoholic beverages within Frederick County with respect and obedience to law and to foster and promote temperance. Alcoholic Beverage licenses are issued and denied according to the laws and regulations stipulated in the Alcoholic Beverages Article, Annotated Code of Maryland and Regulations set forth by the licensed Commissioners. The Board of License Commissioners are appointed by the Governor and serve a term of five years.
