Capital Project Description: Crestwood Middle School opened in 2004 with a SRC of 600 students. Like Oakdale Middle School, the original design of Crestwood Middle School included an oversized core with a footprint for a future addition. The school is currently operating under state rated capacity, but growth is expected in the area over the next ten years, which will necessitate the need for additional school seats. The Crestwood Middle School project will utilize the same design as the Oakdale Middle Addition project and will increase the capacity of the existing school by 298 students, adding about 21,000 SF to the existing building. There will be some efficiencies of scale by completing these two projects back to back. The Crestwood Middle School project is expected to begin in the summer of 2023 and be completed in the summer of 2024.
