Capital Project Description: Valley Elementary School (ES) serves students in grades pre-K through 5. It was originally constructed in 1967 with an addition and renovation in 1974. The Facility Condition Index (FCI) for Valley ES is 52% and classified as critical. FCPS began feasibility studies of Valley Elementary School and Green Valley Elementary School in December 2020 to identify school renovation and additional space needs, options for meeting those requirements, and estimated costs for each option. Valley and Green Valley Elementary Schools are identified as potential candidates for a school replacement plus additions. The Board of Education will make the determination based on the results of the feasibility studies and student enrollment.
